Personata.
Where does the person end and the artwork begin? (Working title: Gunna be personal)
The question of whether it is possible to study or examine one's life and work without drawing conclusions, judging, exalting or misleading is of course a question. All narration is colored and autobiographies, for example, are never anything other than the narrator's view of what he wants to see and present. In other words, perhaps this is not possible at all. But then it just has to come to light.
The boundaries of the self and its actions are both intertwined and separate. My curiosity lies largely in examining how this overlaps, often consciously and more often not at all. The doer "self" is telling or arranging, arranging or linking to something that is not definable. Art is my way of trying to find my bearings, situating myself and experimenting, enjoying and suffering.
